What should I do first after water damage in my home?
Turn off the water, switch off power to wet areas when it is safe, move valuables out of the way and take photos for your insurance. Then call us, as mold can begin to grow within 48 hours.
How long does a kitchen or bathroom renovation take?
An average bathroom remodel takes between two and four weeks, whereas a kitchen remodel takes four to eight weeks. Timelines can extend with layout changes, custom cabinets and permit approvals, which we check at the beginning.
Can you repair mold-damaged drywall so it does not come back?
Yes. We tear out the affected drywall, locate and repair the source of moisture, dry the framing, and install and finish new panels. Fixing the moisture is what prevents mold from returning.
Do I need a permit for my renovation in Hamilton?
Structural changes, new plumbing and new electrical work normally require a City of Hamilton building permit. Cosmetic updates like painting or flooring typically do not. We will tell you what applies to your project.
Can I choose my own materials and finishes?
Absolutely. You choose the styles, colours and finishes you love, and we recommend options that fit your budget and will stand the test of time in Ontario, with its humid summers and long, frozen winters.
